Morte, 2021
Based on several different field recordings of Portuguese traditional musicaI “Morte”is one of the pieces of an album that I have been slowly creating for several years. For some of the visuals I utilized satellite images of where some of the samples were recorded by filling these photographs black and white.
The project is an homage to the portuguese worker and artist. To the one who fought his entire life to be, that created with his tools an example in the mere act. That tamed slopes and landscapes by the pencil and hoes. That sculpted fertile lands and recited futures in seeds.
