Music for Lisbon Fashion Week, 2021
In three separate occasions, my musical pieces accompanied the work of Maria Clara Leça in Lisbon Fashion Week, with her collections "IDIOSSINCRASIAS", "I HAD A FLASHBACK OF SOMETHING THAT NEVER EXISTED" and more recently "TANT QUE LA TÊTE EST SUR LE COU".
These collections although with very different concepts by Maria Clara, always related directly or indirectly to Madeiran cultural tradition. My work consisted on a search for samples of these traditions on documentaries, radioshows and other means, including searching in the biggest archive of traditional music recordings in Madeira,"Associação Musical e Cultural Xarabanda".
These fragments were used for the composition of new musical pieces, wheter directly sampled or using their melodies.
